Santiago Chame is a Research Associate at the Chair for Ancient Philosophy and Rhetoric (Prof. Dr. Christof Rapp) and the Munich School of Ancient Philosophy (MUSAΦ) at LMU. He obtained his PhD in the Humanities (Philosophy curriculum) from the University of Verona, in co-tutelle de thèse with the University of Buenos Aires in 2023. Before that, he earned a Licentiate degree in Philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires in 2017.
Santiago Chame's research interests focus on the ontology of the classical period, particularly Aristotle’s Metaphysics. He is also interested in the Socratic schools and their connection with Plato and Aristotle, and more broadly, in the contemporary reception of ancient Greek thought. He is currently engaged in two main book-length projects: a study of the ontology of the Megarian circle, and a comprehensive interpretation of book Θ of Aristotle's Metaphysics.
